Jessi was born and raised in Iowa where she graduated from Cosmetology school in 2001. After more than 20 years of cutting hair, she still thinks it is one of the most enjoyable jobs in the world. She created Formation Hair to serve the industry she loves and to advance the people that love it as much as she does. She excels at traditional barbering, and razor cutting and exhibits extraordinary attention to detail. She is an inquisitive, curious person who loves meaningful conversations and learning new things. She is the mother of two beautiful children who are her greatest teachers.

KEREN

Haircutting Specialist

Keren was born in Texas and raised in Tennessee and Papa New Guinea. She has an infectious, adventurous spirit and a wise traveler’s soul. She was always drawn to people who cut hair, and in 2012 couldn’t resist her calling any longer. After working for a few years in Tennessee, she decided to spread her wings and make her nest in Oregon in 2016. She excels at shortcuts and fades, and is also highly skilled in specialty cuts like shags and mullets. She is a true artist that loves to create and gets her ultimate reward from the relationships that she builds and the connections that she makes. 

JAYLA

Haircutting Specialist

Jayla was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and graduated from Portland Beauty School in 2009. While she may still dream of being on the road with BTS as their personal hair stylist, she finds joy in cooking, hanging out with her family and dogs, and curling up with a Korean drama. She is a highly skilled stylist who excels at textured scissor cuts and helping people find the right style for them. She is passionate about developing her craft, finding the light in everyone, and spreading kindness wherever she goes.
