Description

This nationally recognized curriculum will be led by specially trained facilitators. Over ten weeks you will be guided in learning all aspects of business startup: IDEATE - POSITION - COMMIT - REFINE - LAUNCH (the Kauffman FastTrac curriculum model).

Throughout the course you will have access to abundant resources and tools and be guided by highly trained educators, mentors and coaches. You will also learn from a diverse array of successful entrepreneurs along the way.

At the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to present at the course finale: A pitch competition event with first prize of $3000 and second prize of $1500.

This course is designed for entrepreneurs that have not yet started their business up to business owners that have been in business for less than two years. If you have been in business more than two years, please contact the lead instructor to discuss whether this course will fit your needs as an entrepreneur.

The lead instructor for this course is Robert L. "Rob" Routhieaux, PhD. Rob is an award winning instructor who worked as a college professor for over twenty years - teaching entrepreneurship, leadership development, nonprofit management, interpersonal communication, and more. He has also started or managed several successful companies and nonprofits. He currently serves as Director of Small Business Support and Development for the IMPACT Beaverton program at the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Pricing

The course fee is $200. Applicants must first submit an application form to the lead instructor. Once approved for the course, the lead instructor will guide participants with registration. The full registration fee is due by May 31, 2024.

Course meets weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. In between sessions you will work on all aspects of a comprehensive business plan.
